Terms of Service

1. The Service

LangLearn is an AI-assisted language-learning platform offering lessons, practice exercises, vocabulary tools, and AI conversation practice (tutor, role-play, debate). We may add, change, or remove features over time.

2. Your Account

You must provide accurate registration details and keep your password secure. You are responsible for activity under your account. You must be old enough to consent to data processing under the law of your country. Organizations may provision accounts for their members under a separate agreement.

3. Fees

The service is currently provided free of charge. If paid plans are introduced, their pricing, billing, cancellation, and refund terms will be presented to you and must be accepted before any charge — they do not apply retroactively.

4. Acceptable Use

• Do not use the service unlawfully or to harass, abuse, or harm others.
• Do not attempt to break, overload, reverse-engineer, or gain unauthorized access to the platform.
• Do not submit content that is illegal, hateful, or infringes others' rights. AI inputs are subject to safety moderation.
• Do not resell or redistribute the service without permission.

5. AI-Generated Content

Lessons, exercises, and conversation replies are generated by AI and may contain errors — treat them as a learning aid, not authoritative advice. Subject to these terms and any underlying AI provider terms, you may use the learning content generated for your account for your own personal or internal organizational learning.

6. Intellectual Property

The platform, its software, design, and branding remain our property. You retain rights to the content you create (e.g. topics, notes); by submitting it you grant us the limited rights needed to operate the service for you.

7. Disclaimer & Limitation of Liability

The service is provided “as is” without warranties of any kind. To the maximum extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect or consequential damages, or for loss arising from reliance on AI-generated content. Nothing here limits liability that cannot be limited by law.

8. Termination

You may stop using the service and delete your account at any time from Settings. We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms.

9. Governing Law & Disputes

These terms are governed by the laws of Hungary. We will try to resolve disputes amicably first; failing that, the competent Hungarian courts have jurisdiction. Consumer rights under mandatory law are unaffected.

10. Changes

We may update these terms; material changes will be announced in-app with reasonable notice. Continued use after an update means you accept the revised terms.
